Third Saturday Bird Walks at the Blackland Prairie Raptor Center are a perfect opportunity for birders of all levels to enjoy our beautiful park. Master Naturalist Trail Guides will help participants identify different species of birds by sight and by ear. (No raptor program on third Saturdays)
Please bring binoculars (we have some to borrow if needed), comfortable footwear, and dress for the weather.
The park will be open from 6:30 AM to noon.
8 AM Beginners Bird Walk
Texas Master Naturalist led trail walks at 9 AM and 11 AM
Learn what makes the Blackland Prairie so unique during the beautiful springtime months and what to do when you find a baby bird. We will be reviewing the importance of our slogan "Nest is Best!"
