Our education Red-tailed Hawk is loving the rain! Hopefully it won’t be raining Saturday morning for our annual Raptor Photo Day. Xena, the education ambassador Peregrine Falcon just took a bath. She is getting ready for our First Saturday this weekend as well as a visit to IrishFest at Fair Park on Saturday and Sunday. We are supposed to have sunny weather so come visit us!
Our construction crew has almost finished the walkway between the office and raptor hospital. Only a roof to go!

There’s no better way to learn about the birds of prey in North Texas than to meet them in person! Blackland Prairie Raptor center travels across North Texas to present at schools, all schools, home school groups, youth organizations, libraries, scouts and much more.
Help us to continue our mission to care for raptors and educate the public. Volunteer to work with the birds, donate funds, help the raptors with re-cycled household items, or purchase T-shirts.
BPRC has annual Volunteer Appreciation lunch. BBQ served by the Board. And creative desserts brought by our wonderful volunteers. Thanks to all our hard-working volunteers!
