Camping at Blackland Prairie Raptor Center
Spend the night at our incredible facility at Blackland Prairie Raptor Center. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of North Texas without leaving the DFW Metroplex. Our facility features a natural setting with Lavon Lake as our backdrop and remnant prairie, which is considered an endangered ecosystem, with plants unique to this habitat. Camping Package
One standard pavilion (yellow on below map) – $25 per night per set of 10 people

Bald Eagle Pavilion & Fire Ring – $150 per night for up to 50 people

$500 for the first night

**If you select this package, the park is reserved for your group only. There will be no other groups or events occurring during your reservation.
The access to the park times are 4 PM-9AM. Additional access to the park is $100 per hour.
Applies to all Camping:
- We have a park with pavilions, an amphitheater, restrooms, and trails
- Potable water is available at the restrooms and power and lights are available at a group pavilion
- Can hike on your own or add on a guided hike in add on options below
- Fires are only allowed at the Bald Eagle Pavilion Fire Ring
- Short hike: trails through our prairie
- Long hike: 9 miles
– Park of Trinity Trail Preservation Association that borders our property
– Obtain map at www.trinitytrailriders.org (trails starts at our Brockdale Park trailhead) - Must remove everything you bring!
- Need to read and sign Park Use Release Form to agree to all our park regulations
- Minimum ratio of adults to minors = 1:10
*Guests acknowledge and agree that, unless the Exclusive Camping Package has been specifically booked and confirmed, use of the park grounds is non-exclusive. The park may host other guests, visitors, or events concurrently during your stay. This means that other individuals or groups may be present and participating in activities within the park at the same time.

Take your camping experience up a notch! This all-inclusive option is a great way to enjoy our raptor program and trail walk bundled together with your camping for a great price!

Live Raptor Program
Price: $350
The educational program introduces children and adults to the world of raptors. These hawks, owls and falcons are well trained, and with the assistance of BPRC education specialists, show you what makes them an important part of our environment.
- Enjoy our Live Raptor Program at BPRC in our amphitheater
- You will discover their roles in the food chain and their unique adaptations to hunt in woodland, wetlands and prairies
- Enjoy the beautiful scenery – natural setting with Lavon Lake and remnant prairie as our backdrop
- Bring your lunch and stay onsite for a picnic lunch

Guided Nature Hike
Price: $15/person
(10 person min required)
The hike will go through the native Blackland Prairie at BPRC. The remnant prairie is considered an endangered ecosystem with plants unique to this habitat.
- Led by a Master Naturalist
- ~45 minutes
- Very easy walk (young children would not have a problem)
- Strollers are allowed, but no paved paths
- Dirt or gravel in areas
Owl Pellets
Price: $4/pellet
Pellets are the undigested parts of a bird’s food, such as hair or bones, which are regurgitated (coughed up through the beak)
- Great hands-on learning for kids to study about owls and the ecosystems in which they live
- During the dissection, they can see and identify the tiny bones from that owl’s meal, can learn about the owl’s diet and place in the food web
- All of our pellets are heat-sterilized
- Available seasonally
